Mechanical/Electrical Designer/Engineer

E | B | E has excellent opportunities for HVAC and Electrical Designers/Engineers. The qualified HVAC individuals must be able to design building mechanical systems for a wide variety of projects. Systems will include heating, cooling, DX rooftop, split-systems, chilled water, and other mechanical systems. The qualified Electrical individuals must be able to design building electrical and lighting systems for a wide variety of projects. Candidates should be experienced in preparing construction plans, calculating heating or electrical loads, reviewing codes, specifying, sizing and laying out HVAC and electrical equipment. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of AutoCAD software and computer skills. Position requires engineering degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar building systems technical curriculum. Job Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years HVAC or Electrical design experience.
• Self-motivated and self-starting individual.
• Must be experienced in the design of MEP systems with commercial projects.
• Must be able to transfer engineering ideas into CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Must be able to perform load calculations for HVAC or electrical projects.
• Must be able to specify, size, and layout HVAC and electrical equipment.
• Must be able to prepare basic deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Detailed knowledge of general building construction and MEP systems is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple complex assignments.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
• Good writing and verbal skills.
